Distributions in probability and statistics, central limit theorem, Poisson processes, modes of convergence, transformations involving random variables.

Logistics

Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week.

Prerequisites

Undergraduate probability at the level of Statistics 134, multivariable calculus (at the level of Berkeley’s Mathematics 53) and linear algebra (at the level of Berkeley’s Mathematics 54).
